Drown Cycle 05:38
Tipped over, you’re spilled The crash is just another moment you’ll feel And before I remember what it means to hurt I’m already soaking in the ground Hanging on All I want is to fall Come deeper, it calls Through the open hollow now A voice so familiar in its throatless hail I can only count the steps before I plunge Keep falling Soon I’ll reach The next dream The trenches will be mine I’ll try The silence, it thrills Is this the new start I’m finally pulling apart But before my collection The light swerves on its side And I’m dragged to the surface again Hanging on All I want is to fall You told me things would change

Shatter Zone 04:20
Alone in the shatter zone You’ve been on my mind far too long The shards expose now that you’ve left my sphere You left me here Too far to see you My heart is just One big metal balloon Come by and scrape the edges I’ll rattle just for you Just for you You left me here Alone in the shatter zone You’ve been on my mind You’ve been on my mind You’ve been on my mind Feeding right through the skull My heart is just One big metal balloon Come by and scrape the edges I’ll rattle just for you Just for you You

Clump 03:59
I’ve run the narrow passage Crossed every grinning hill Once a world that I could bear I’ve been here for a while For a while For a while The tracks feel too familiar All seams have been retraced You can’t outrun what’s in you You’ve been here for a while For a while For a while You drag on for ages While the air stands still This isn’t for you One day you’ll leave us That much I’m sure But take your time and Someone could get hurt Saw a clump growing right beneath me It’s spread everywhere I’ve paced If I don’t slash the threads I’ll be here for a while For a while For a while

The Wind 04:43
Holding the pieces I’ve brought with me I’ll open the exit It’s time to leave A fence of teeth Guards the sunken mouth Stretched to the edges of This little town The smiles have opened And wind comes ‘round And wind comes ‘round And wind comes ‘round ‘Round Pathways collapsing But I’ll stand still The core bursts open Inside it’s you Can’t help but face it If I wanna make it through The pressure responds to my little trip Out on cliff edges wherever I walk These broken lines Make our open smiles Won’t you be like the wind Like the wind Like the wind And just knock

about

Drown Cycle is my debut EP, and details a point in my life where I was caught in a self-destructive loop. These songs recreate and explore the atmospheres of that difficult period of time using swirling synths, icy electronic textures, and endlessly-layered choral vocals. I hope this project transports you to that place, and shows you just how it feels to be trapped in, and liberated from a Drown Cycle.

Noah Grigoroff Singapore

Noah Grigoroff is a self-taught musician who started experimenting with sound in late 2019 upon discovering his family's old electronic keyboard was still functional. Since then, he has been writing and recording music on a daily basis. Noah's songs lean to the darker side of electronica while placing a heavy emphasis on choral vocals and abstractly evocative lyrics. ... more
